Where to find photos on our site for ideas and solutions.

We’ve created a dedicated section with all the photos of kitchens and baths we’ve done; this can be found on the Gallery page. We are also extending this by creating “Features” in which we’ll discuss the design process of a job and what we do to create beautiful, workable kitchens and baths. If you just want to view photos of work done, the Gallery page is a quick reference, but if you want to know more about what goes on, problems that we work through to create finished products, the Features section will be a solutions/idea section.

RKB carries many products like seated showers, grab bars, scald guard faucets, and more to provide solutions to any remodeling project.

Are you having trouble getting into a normal bath tub? A seated shower can be what you are looking for. Whether for a loved one or yourself, they provide comfort and function in situations where it would be hard otherwise.

The concept is to replace a normal bathtub with an easily accessed shower area in the same space a tub would fit. Many older folks have a hard time entering a normal tub/shower combo due to the high lip of a normal tub. Replacing a normal tub/shower combo with a seated shower allows convenient entry into the shower area with a comfortable seat for those that have a hard time standing. Also great for handicap situations where a normal tub just isn’t practical.

The seated shower provides uncomplicated styling, allowing them to integrate beautifully with surround materials such as granite, marble and tile, while their functional design prevents water transfer and slipping. Each shower base includes a textured bottom that meets ASTM F-462-1994 certification requirements for safer showering. Available in a wide variety of colors, all shower bases are constructed of Lucite cast acrylic for beauty and durability. The high-gloss finish is extremely scratch- and stain- resistant, yet it is easily renewable because the color goes all the way through the material. Since the surface is non-porous, cleaning and sanitizing are faster and more effective.

In addition to front threshold configurations, seated shower bases are available in 60″ x 32″ and 60″ x 36″ sizes with either a right or left drain configuration. The unique 48″ square Jeu d’Eau features a comfortable seat and high walls which may be lined with jets to create a swirling footbath.
